Brian and Kayla’s Florida spring elopement at Kelly Park Rock Springs was a total dream! Their entire day was the adventure we all need on our wedding day! This day was jam packed with crystal clear spring water, celebratory donuts, kayaking, and giant floaties!
K+B arrived at the spring right as the park opened to ensure they were able to get in before the crowds arrived. They both got ready at the park’s pavilion. With the Tutton Brother’s There She Is playing in the background, they had their first look on the deck. Brian nearly teared up when he saw Kayla. It was so damn cute.
They took a short hike to the spring head to exchange vows on a flat rock. Surrounded by the crystal clear water of the spring, K+B exchanged vows and had their first kiss. After saying their vows, we headed to one of the famous rocks within the park to celebrate by indulging in some donuts. Because there’s nothing more romantic than a soft, local baked donut, right?
After their donut feast, we headed to King’s Landing for a little post-wedding kayaking. We stopped along the way to take in the scenery and enjoy all that the spring had to offer. At one point, they stopped to hang out on top of a hanging palm to eat some of their favorite snacks – nacho cheese Doritos (Kayla) and beef jerky (Brian).
After their kayaking tour, they headed back to the rock springs to float around in the swimming area. However, an alligator had other plans and closed the entire park for swimming. Either way, we got some super cute photos of them on a giant flamingo. Fun fact – floats must be 5 feet in any direction to be allowed in the swimming area.
Towards the end of the day, we ended up at Henry’s Depot where they had some craft cocktails and BBQ. It was the perfect way to cap off their adventurous elopement day. And we sat and sipped our cocktails, talking about the day, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to have been a part of their elopement day.
Brian and Kayla really took Florida elopements to the next level. This is the start of a new trend in Florida – eloping and then spending the day doing adventurous things the Florida way. Who knows, maybe next we’ll hear about a couple who eloped at a water park and then spent the day riding rollercoasters.
