Anna and Caleb’s Mead Botanical Garden elopement was anything but an ordinary garden wedding. We started the day bright and early witnessing and celebrating their marriage among friends and family inside of Mead Botanical Garden. But the post-vow celebration is what made this elopement so unique by finishing the day with their most epic date night exploring Orlando.
As an Orlando elopement photographer, it is my mission to help couples to create intimate yet fun-focused stress‑free days like these. After learning more about Anna and Caleb’s story and their favorite past times, we created the perfect Orlando elopement itinerary. An elopement day that flowed at their own pace, included fun activities that excited them, and gave them the freedom to fully experience every moment.
Anna and Caleb mentioned wanting their ceremony to be in nature at sunrise somewhere close to Orlando. They love the idea of either a beach or garden wedding and after recommending a few locations from north to central Florida, they fell in love with Mead Botanical Garden in Orlando. Mead is the perfect place for an intimate ceremony especially if you’re planning to have a few guests like they did.
When it came down to the post-ceremony celebration, A+C envisioned a brunch with their guests followed by solo exploring Orlando together. They wanted to include activities that were reminiscent of how they met and the things they love to do together like stopping for bar games and grabbing cocktails and mocktails. Originally they wanted to include the beach, but since Orlando is a bit too far from the beach, they opted to end the day with a pool jump back at their accommodation.
Ready to see how their day unfolded?!
I met Anna and Caleb right as Mead opened for their intimate ceremony with friends and family who drove down from South Carolina. Before the vows, we walked a portion of the property to capture their bride and groom portraits and some details like their bouquet charm honoring their late son, Quill. It was an overcast morning, but it seemed to add to the intimacy and laidback energy of the day. Right before their ceremony, the sun came out to give their vows a gorgeous early morning light.
Anna’s sister officiated the ceremony and they affirmed their union with a norse rope tie. Their two kids blew bubbles during ceremony and Anna’s grandmother wrapped her in a prayer shawl as they said their vows. Their ceremony was as intentional as it was beautiful.
Once their ceremony ended, we captured group portraits of their guests and spent the remaining time walking the garden with their kids. Letting them play and explore through the paths and take in all the different plants from the garden. Giving them some time as a family to soak in the moment of their ceremony.
After the ceremony, we headed to Black Coffee Cafe Negro for brunch and a surprise cake from their family. The group ordered some seriously delicious brunch foods, enjoyed each other’s company, ate cake, and celebrated A+C’s marriage.
After their celebration with friends and family, A+C wanted a solo adventure exploring Orlando. Part of their love story involved grabbing cocktails and mocktails, playing pool, and going bowling. That’s why Kings made the perfect post-ceremony adventure. Packed with every arcade game you can imagine, a full bowling alley, and a bar wrapped pool hall in a modern yet retro atmosphere, Kings brought all their love story adventures into one place. They played pool, grabbed drinks, and enjoyed being newly married.
A+C loved the idea of incorporating water into their elopement day, but the beach was a bit too far so they opted for a pool jump back at their accommodation. They had booked a suite at Wyndham Bonnet Creek and wanted to capture some moments in their suite before heading to the pool. Once we got to the pool, A+C fully embraced the moment and jumped in before spending the rest of the time relaxing in the lazy river. Their day was the perfect blend of intimacy, fun, adventure, and relaxation.
