Alyssa and Ronnie’s Key West micro wedding was EVERYTHINGGGGGGGG. But every time I try to write stellar blogs, I always come out with something that sounds like a news article. I’m not going to do that for this wedding because it deserves so much more than that. This wedding was freakin’ awesome. Between one amazing couple, the Magic Mike dance moves, and ridiculously tasty food, it was everything you could want in a wedding. I pretty much ate everything that Alyssa fed me because who can say no to from-scratch lobster mac and cheese?
Let’s start by me sounding only slightly anchorwoman-ish – Alyssa and Ronnie got hitched at the Oldest House and Museum in Key West, Florida. It was perfect. If you want a destination wedding with some intimate backyard vibes, this is the place for you 100%.
The morning of the wedding, my fiancé and I got café con leche and went to scope out the location. It was gorgeous. The Oldest House is exactly as you’d expect – a house filled with tons of old charm. The backyard is filled with so much greenery and trees that it made the best backdrop to an intimate evening. It’s right off of Duval Street and makes the perfect location for some Duval photo ops and a quick stop at Mallory square at sunset.
My favorite part of this wedding was walking the streets of Key West capturing some serious connection and magic between these two humans. The way Ronnie looks at Alyssa could catch anything on fire.
