Backyard Florida Micro Wedding | Raysa + Azzam

Raysa and Azzam turned up the heat at their backyard Florida micro wedding!

During our phone consult in early 2019, Raysa told me all about this badass 1920’s Great Gatsby themed wedding she was having at this super luxe hotel in Vero Beach. Listening to her tell me all about her wedding plans got me so excited and I couldn’t wait to see how she pulled it off. I’m in love with clients wanting to do something outside of the norm! They even had their engagement session at a local record store that they hang out all the time!

Fast forward to March 2020 – you know when COVID decided to ruin everything. Raysa and Azzam were two months away from their wedding date and they had to make a quick decision – cancel or replan. They decided to keep their wedding date and re-envision how it played out. I might love unique wedding ideas, but I love go with the flow couples even more!

They opted for a backyard micro wedding with a laid back ceremony at Tradition Square in Port Saint Lucie. Raysa and Azzam transformed her parent’s backyard into the perfect micro wedding scene! There was amazing Cuban food, handcrafted cocktails, delicious hot sauce favors handcrafted by the Groom, ALL the Latin music you could want hand spun by a local record shop, and a gorgeous bride that had an amazing outfit change! It was every bit of outside of the norm and it was perfect.

As a bride who had her wedding taken away by COVID, my heart goes out to every single one of those couples feel that same hurt. My heart is also happy that there are couples like Raysa and Azzam who make the absolute best out of a global pandemic and STILL have so much fun and celebrate the hell out of their union.

So let’s raise a toast to Raysa and Azzam – one badass couple! Here’s to you!
