Their Elopement Vision

When it came to their elopement day, the vibe was lowkey. When we were planning out the day, Blair mentioned she didn’t really have a dream elopement planned out, but knew she wanted it to feel special and have it authentically documented. She said “What matters most to me is having photos to look back on, something tangible to remember the start of our marriage. I tend to shy away from being the center of attention, so something small and low-key feels right. Andrew keeps saying he wants “really cool scenery,” and I agree. I’d be excited for something beautiful, timeless, simple, and organic that lets us focus on each other more than anything else.”

Overall, they wanted to feel relaxed, calm, and really be living in the moment.

Details, Getting Ready, and First Looks at Quaint AirBnB

It was a crisp February morning on Blair and Andrew’s elopement day – one of the few cold days here in the sunshine state. Their day started at this cuteee equestrian-themed AirBnB in the heart of downtown St. Augustine. Between the intentional details of the space, the early morning light, and the sentimental items Andrew and Blair brought with them, these moments were totally bespoke. Blair and Andrew got ready separately meeting up only on the front porch for their first look together before heading off to their ceremony. Andrew opened up the truck door for Blair and then we were on our way to Washington Oaks Garden State Park.

Ceremony & Exploration at Washington Oaks Garden State Park

Washington Oaks Garden State Park is one of the most unique state parks in Florida. With the park stretching from the Mantanzas River to the Atlantic Ocean, this park is packed with tons of different types of scenery. Settled between the two waterways is an immaculate garden featuring iconic oak trees, rose gardens, and other tropical plants. It makes for those gorgeous, epic backdrops that Andrew and Blair were wanting for their day. Underneath the oak trees, Blair and Andrew exchanged vows and rings before having their first kiss as husband and wife. After their simple yet intimate ceremony, these two explored the park starting at the river and making their way to the rocks along the beach.

These two opted for a heart shaped cake as their celebratory dessert. We planned their cake cutting in front of the Lightner Museum with some of their family members. It was a nice way to include family as part of their day before heading off to explore St. George Street.

Walking St. George Street

Walking along St. George street, Blair and Andrew enjoyed their time together as husband and wife. We stopped at different locations for some quick photos of their first just married moments before heading to the Castillo De San Marcos for formal portraits.

Golden hour at the Castillo De San Marcos is truly incredible. The sun sets right behind the fort giving it such a georgeous glow. On this side of the castle, there’s few people so it makes for an intimate experience for couples.
