When Llio and Jack decided to elope in downtown Orlando, they knew they wanted a day that was uniquely them—full of fun, love, and a bit of adventure. From their first look at the courthouse bus station to an impromptu first dance in a Publix aisle, their elopement was a perfect blend of romance and spontaneity. Here’s a look at their story and how their Orlando elopement unfolded.
Llio and Jack’s love story started in a nightclub in Cardiff while they were at university. A mutual friend introduced them, and they hit it off right away. Fast forward a few years, and they’ve become inseparable travelers, foodies, and best friends. Throughout their entire relationship, they’ve loved nothing more than exploring new places, enjoying good food, and spending quality time together—whether that’s on a walk with their dog or just hanging out.
After both losing their fathers, they decided to rethink the whole big wedding thing and decided to elope. They wanted something more personal, something that felt right for them and their families.
Llio and Jack’s elopement day started at the Orange County Courthouse, where they had a first look by the Courthouse Station bus stop. The excitement was all over their faces as they saw each other for the first time. Behind the adventuring, a first look might be my favorite part of an elopement day!
Their ceremony took place right outside the courthouse, under the overhang, with their closest family and friends around. While not required in Florida, both of their moms signed as witnesses, which made the moment even more special. After they said their vows, their families tossed dried rose petals as they made their way through a make shift aisle we created.
Then came the fun part—exploring downtown Orlando with a vintage Porsche they had rented for the day. We snapped some street shots with the car, stopped by the vintage fur store Le Belle for some cool photos, and headed to the Grand Bohemian for celebratory cocktails.
Part of the original plan was to stop at one of the first Publix stores to grab some key lime pie as their wedding cake. But since Llio and Jack are from Wales and had never experienced a chicken tender PubSub, I convinced them to order one while we were there. While the angels behind the counter were making their chicken tender sub, L+J’s song started playing, and they couldn’t resist dancing right there in the aisle. It was the cutest thing ever.
We wrapped up the day at a fun vintage apartment complex where they popped champagne. The whole vibe was laid-back, fun, and full of love—exactly what an elopement should be and exactly what L+J wanted for their Orlando elopement.
