Jackie and Glen’s Stuart beach elopement was every boater’s dream elopement. From spending the morning exchanging vows as the sun rose over the ocean to cracking oysters and beers at the sandbar and everything in between, this elopement was perfect for this boating couple.
Psst…and if you and your partner want to elope in Stuart, but have zero idea where to even begin, then I invite you to learn how I can help plan and capture your Stuart beach elopement!
Jackie and Glen’s story together started like so many modern love stories—on the dating app Hinge. After dating for a while, they had their first couple’s vacay to a resort in Palm Beach. They spent the day relaxing with a couple’s massage, lounging by the pool, and soaking up the Florida vibes. Glen had planned to propose during a romantic beach walk before dinner, but nerves got the better of him. After a couple of beers back at the hotel room, he finally popped the question just before they headed out for dinner. It was perfectly imperfect, which is exactly how they like it.
Jackie and Glen love spending time on the water. Boating is their thing, and they’re all about bringing their dogs, Wally and Winny, along for the ride. It was only natural that these two things were a part of their elopement day!
As for their wedding plans, Jackie knew a big traditional wedding wasn’t her style as the literal thought of organizing a large event felt wildly overwhelming. So, they decided to keep it simple and stress-free with an intimate Stuart Beach elopement that matched their laid-back vibe perfectly.
Jackie and Glen’s elopement day started bright and early. I met Jackie at their Airbnb just before sunrise. Jackie, with her dad by her side, walked to the beach access right across the street. Glen and the officiant were already waiting at Chastain Beach, perfectly positioned in front of some dramatic beach rocks that added a stunning backdrop to their ceremony.
As the sun rose over the horizon, they exchanged vows in a sweet and simple ceremony. After their vows, Jackie’s sister brought their two dogs, Wally and Winny, to join the celebration. The pups were dressed in the cutest wedding outfits. After some fun photos with the dogs, Jackie and Glen enjoyed a little picnic on the beach, complete with champagne and a small cake.
After their beach portraits, we all hopped on their flats boat and headed out to a nearby sandbar. With the tide low and the sun shining, Jackie and Glen shucked oysters and cracked beers (or seltzers for Jackie). These two were absolutely living their best lives on the water. We wrapped up the day by cruising to the inlet to take in the gorgeous views, ending their elopement with all the relaxed vibes they wanted.
